The Beginning of a New Adventure

08/06/24 marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our family as we set off to pick up our Doberman puppy from a breeder in Wales. It was a trip filled with anticipation, joy, and a few nerves, knowing that our lives were about to become even more lively and a lot more chaotic!

The Drive to Wales

We started our journey at 10am, with the car packed with essentials for our new best friend. Luka spent the day with his nanny (my mum) as we felt the 8 hour round trip would be far too long for him. The scenic drive through the Welsh countryside was beautiful, with rolling hills and picturesque landscapes providing a perfect backdrop for our adventure.

Meeting Rager for the First Time

We actually first met Rager at 4 weeks old! When we arrived at the breeder’s home, we were welcomed with a lovely cup of coffee and some snacks, we were led to the area where the puppies were playing and it was love at first sight when we saw our blue collared boy. He was a bundle of energy, with bright eyes and a wagging tail that instantly captured our hearts. Returning to pick him up was equally as exciting, knowing that we were bringing our boy home with us this time. He had grown so much in a short 4 weeks!!

The Journey Back Home

After completing the necessary paperwork and receiving a few final tips from the breeder, we began on our journey back home. Rager settled into the car super well, snuggling into me the whole way home! He was comfortable and had the best nap ever, his litter mates must have tired him out before our arrival 🥰

Arriving Home

Arriving home was an exciting moment. We picked Luka up from his nanny’s and introduced Rager to his new home slowly, letting him explore all of new scents around him. We couldn’t believe how confident he was already! He had a bite to eat and then had another well needed nap after his long journey.

It’s only the beginning!

Bringing Rager home from Wales was an unforgettable experience. It marked the start of many new adventures and memories that we will cherish forever. We are excited to share more updates about his growth and our journey as a family with a young child and a lively Doberman puppy.
